Dr. Eric Clambey
Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology
Director of the Flow Cytometry Shared Resource
Dr. Eric Clambey’s research focuses on the dynamic interface between the immune system, inflammation and tissue repair. These studies focus on how T cells regulate, and are regulated by, inflammation at mucosal surfaces, in two divergent conditions: virus infection and tumorigenesis. By leveraging insights gained from these different contexts, we seek to identify fundamental principles of immunity and points of therapeutic intervention. These studies are powered by genetic manipulation of the host and target cell, and strengthened by technical innovations in single-cell analysis using flow and mass cytometry. We further collaborate with multiple laboratories interrogating the cellular and molecular basis of immune responses to infection, injury and tumorigenesis, with an emphasis on immunomodulatory approaches to limit infection and malignancy.
Abigail (Abby) Kimball
Bioinformatic Analyst in the Division of Medical Oncology
Abby analyzes a variety of mass cytometry and multiplexed IHC datasets for many laboratories on campus. She is also responsible for: training researchers interested in learning how to analyze high dimensional datasets, implementing new algorithms to enhance data analysis, and providing comprehensive educational materials to the field. She will be heading to Washington University in St. Louis to pursue her PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis this fall!
