The use of novel technology is essential to our studies of the immune system at a single-cell level. It has allowed us to reveal cellular heterogeneity, identify new points of therapeutic intervention, and discover fundamental principles of immunity during viral infection and tumorigenesis. However, the adoption of these methods required dedication to master which revealed a significant barrier to entry for the average bench scientists. We have collaborated with many laboratories by analyzing their datasets, trained many researchers and user groups in the analysis, and are constantly optimizing experimental protocols and implementing new algorithms to enhance our datasets. However, we wish to provide the field with comprehensive educational materials from a bench scientists point of view to empower researchers to generate and interact with their own high dimensional datasets.
